Our Livestock
Beef Cattle - Sheep - Pigs - Chickens - Quail
Beef Cattle
We raise mostly Angus or Hereford crosses. Herefords are our favorite; they just have something special about them.

Sheep
We raise Katahdin Sheep, we choose them because they are a hair sheep, which means no shearing wool. They are parasite resistant, and mild flavor.
Pigs
We raise Idaho Pasture Pigs; we choose them for the calm disposition and the fact that they are easy on the land. They graze, do minimal rooting and don't require as much grain.

Chickens/Quail
We have multiple different breeds of hens, some of the breeds are Hyline Red, Americana, Oliver Egger, Jersey Giants, Light Brahmas, and the list can go on. I prefer a mixed flock, i like the different color eggs. We raise jumbo broilers from Sunny Side Hatchery for meat birds, and we raise layer roosters as well. We also have Coturnix Quail for eggs, a pair of African Geese and Runner Ducks for the garden, and we raise a few heritage turkeys.
